The count down is on until March 2nd and the long awaited christening ceremony of the second Meraviglia class cruise ship to enter the MSC Fleet – the beautiful MSC Bellissima.
MSC Cruises UK have today announced some of the celebrities that will feature on the line-up. Proceedings will be hosted by award winning TV celebrity Holly Willoughby.
In time-honored tradition the glamorous icon of the big screen Sophia Loren will act as Godmother to the ship and cut the ceremonial ribbon!
A special performance of Cirque du Soleil will also feature on the Southampton pier during the celebrations.
The evening’s music will feature Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award winning Nile Rodgers and his band Chic who we’re sure will really get the crowd going and in the party mood!
Not only that, but the celebrations will continue the next day with Souhampton’s own DJ and popstar Craig David on the billing.
MSC Bellissima will be the first ship in the fleet to feature the bespoke personal assistant ZOE and a brand new dining option HOLA! – a tapas venue from TWO Michelin Starred Spanish chef Ramon Freixa and the Jean-Phillipe Maury chocolate bar.
